About

It was my mum who first introduced me to yoga and holistic healing. One of my earliest memories is of her practicing Sun Salutations every morning, and I still have our much-used and loved Dutch book ‘Yoga Voor Kinderen’ (Yoga for Children) with all the poses we tried as kids.

Yoga was just part of play in my childhood but I developed a more dedicated and meaningful practice in my early thirties. Trying out many different classes with many different teachers absolutely helped me find my way, and prepared me for a deeper commitment. I trained to become a yoga teacher in 2013 (Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Yoga Moves in The Netherlands), many more teacher trainings followed (Yoga for Stress Relief, Yoga Anatomy, and Yoga for Menopause were a few favourites) and I haven’t stopped learning since (most recent self-studies and courses have been in Somatic Movement, and Ayurveda for Yoga Teachers).

Today, my practice is an opportunity to spend precious time with myself. It’s my time to connect with me – to gently check in with my body, mind, heart and soul, to find out what I need more of and what I need less of. I practice what I need and encourage my students to do the same: listen in, trust our bodies and find movements and shapes that feel good.

My guiding is ‘Soulful and Seasonal’ – classes flow through the seasons and focus on deepening breath, body and self-awareness. I feel hugely inspired by the teachings of Ayurveda and love sprinkling my offerings with little gems of Ayurvedic wisdom.

I hope you’ll join me in practice some time, it would be lovely to have you with us.
